Four European theatre companies have established the collaboration “Participate in your life” exploring interactivity in children’s theatre through discussions and workshops. Fall 2021 we hosted JOIN IN, an open conference about interactivity and participation in children’s theatre in Bergen, Norway, where we invited a broad spectre of artists from all over Europe. August 2022 was the premiere of the interactive performance Tower of Babel: Planet Earth/Game over/Reset which the partners in the network make together. In 25 we are launching a new project; Freedom of speech, where be bring youth from four countries together to discuss this topic.
The main aim of this collaboration is to exchange artistic methods and approches: to get to know each other's cultural background and to ensure know-how transfer. In the future we should be able to create international projects on different areas of performativity. Our long-term goal is to create a platform of knowledge where European artists can connect performative tools and participation, concentrating on children and youngsters. We hope that the project can an inspiration to other theater professionals.

OUR VISION
Art is not a privilege, it is a fundamental right and part of society. Art can also be a tool in the fight against political apathy; used to strengthen democratic values and reflection. The partners in this project come from different parts of Europe. Through the methods of interactivity and participation in theater, we believe we can give future generations an opportunity to share and discuss their visions, thoughts and worries freely in a productive and safe environment. Our main goal with this project is to inspire other European theater professionals and together become better equipped to reach thousands of children and youth through art.
