The Participate in your life network is happy to launch our new project FREEDOM OF SPEECH where youth and artists from Lithuania, Norway, Hungary and Iceland explore the topic of “freedom of speech” together. We aim to compare how the young generation from different countries see and are affected by the topic and explore their views of the current world dynamics and their own lives.
Through this project we encourage like the youth to raise their voice in order for us to better understand their views and thoughts, reflections and feelings. The youth will be given the opportunity to influence the way we make theatre for youth in the future. Their voices and participation will have a lasting and hopefully contagious impact on other youth.
Our tools are methods of interactivity and participation in theater and the transnational exchange of knowledge amongst European countries, both between youth and artist. Our long term goal is to lay the framework for ultimately creating theatre performances that truly resonate with and feel relevant to the young generation, in each of the partner countries. The performances will be co-created/inspired/devised processes - influenced by the voices of the youth.
